Mini Motorshow

Well the British International Motor show was back in London this year ... and of there was no chance that we where not going. Needless to say all available memory cards where full. These pics I took especially for Hendrik's sister because we know how much she loves Mini's so here goes.

They made the mistake of putting and abacus in the window where Hendrik and Fanus could get at it ... big mistake ... but it kept them busy for a while ;o)

They had a great game that was like space invaders but you get into a mini and one person drives while the other shoots. Just check the concentration ;o)

Wel that is enough for me now hopefully Hendrik will put the rest of his pics on his blog and if you want to see more pics check out Fanus photo's

UB40

Wel it is currently the London Motorshow at the Excel exhibition centre and accompanying it is the Dock Rock concerts. Last night it was UB40 and we had tickets ;o)

This is the stadium before the show

The two of us before the show

Now I must give some background ... I have my Dad to thank for my very diverse taste in music ... he bought me my first UB40 tape when I was a lot younger so the concert really reminded me of him and I think he would have really enjoyed it.

The concert started and the vibe was incredible ... old and young everyone got up and danced even the people who had seated tickets moved down to dance on the floor.

They even had a song they wrote about South Africa in the apartheid era and yes that is a South African flag ;o)

Even the cars where jiving in tune with the music ( the bass setting off the car alarms)

It was a very kewl concert and I really enjoyed it ... but enough for now ... motorshow photo's later

Cheers

Dive..dive...dive

Yes people that's right this weekend was the London International Dive show ... and it was brilliant. First thanks to Zod for surprising me with the tickets to the dive show ... made my day. So this is how it went ... got up a lot earlier than usual this morning (/this being that I am on "holiday" so I dont get up at 7 anymore) to head down to Excel for the dive show. Got there in time to enter a the line to get in ... and realized we were five minutes early ... bonus ... so we filled in a competition form while we waited ... needless to say it was the first of many ... hehehe ... playing the odds ... the more you enter for a Red Sea holiday even if with different people the better your chances right? Especially if there is two of us ... right?

Anyway I digress so we enter this huge exhibition hall and this is what we found ... dive stuff and more dive stuff. There was everything ... literally every diver's dream ... somewhere you dont go with your creditcard at all. There was equipment and equipment and more equipment.

We found digital cameras and housings and more cameras and housings ... Dads would have had a field day :o) ... and of course the day would not be complete without the 350D (/Zods passion) and finding out it too has a housing for underwater photography.

We also visited this guy who was painting t-shirts kewl huh? There were of course info on dive holidays ... the type of thing that makes you want to use up your nest egg all at once ... needless to say we got lots and lots of free stuff ... it looked like we went on a shopping spree in Oxford street :o)

We left Excel just after two just seven minutes before it rained (we had to wait that long for DLR thats how I know exactly how long) ... note in the photo ... no clouds in sight ... and they say Cape Town weather is unpredictable.

Overall
a very good start to a new month, a happy month.
