I like to move it move it

Well things are certainly looking up ... I have a Reception job lasting about 2 months maybe longer ... we have found a very nice apartment ... (photo from same apartment block but not our apartment) pictures to follow when we have moved in ;o) Talking about moving ... that will happen on Sunday with the signing of the contracts ... but yeah we have a nice new place to live ... with a stunning view from the seventh floor. And we will only be sharing with two other people.

So unfortunately I will be going offline for a short while :o( But I will be back with pictures ...

Life or something like it

I have an urge to blog at the moment and I dont really know why. Some people say its easier writing things down than actually telling another person how you feel. I's softly raining outside ... for the first time in a fairly sunny week. omething to be grateful for I guess considering its a 10 min walk from the station to work. Rainy weather always tends to make me a little PB so if you are bored reading this I appologise ... it's been a long week.

Long but good ... it felt good getting out of the house and working ... earning your keep so to say ... you know what they say about idle hands ... but it felt good ... having some interaction with other human beings not just sitting at home looking for work ... it gets lonely and depressing. It was nice learning new things and mastering them.

Hopefully something else will come along soon ... I hate the feeling of spunging of everyone, and I like the freedom of saying to Zod lets go out for coffee after work. I like going to bed and feeling like I deserve the sleep. It's funny how everything comes full circle. In my 1st year of varsity I only slept maybe 3 hours a night during the week promising myself that I can sleep the weekend and rest when I finish varsity ... so for four months I rested and the last week I've been back onthe promise of you can sleep late this weekend ... granted I now sleep 7 hours instead of 3 but you get the picture.

Insomnia isn't as much a problem anymore ... but now I have the dreams ... but I'm not going to get into that ... I'm starting to bore my fans :o)

So enough of that for now.

First day

So for those of you that don't know ... I got a temporary job this week doing front house reception for a coffee and tea company in south London. The picture is me on Tuesday before work ... note the very nervous half smile. The other photo is of my very pretty new bling watch ... a gift from Zod that we went to go buy on Sunday. Thank you baby.

I started yesterday ... and literally like they say ... hit the ground running. I had a quick crash course on how the switchboard works ... the posting system ... what a nightmare ... and an overall figure it out from the notes left by the reception. What a day ... especially if you where so nervous the night before that you had almost no sleep ... seems that Zod and I project onto each other I had almost no sleep the day before he started working ... and vice versa.

So being tired and being run ragged literally dropped dead when I got home last night. Today though went much better, got the switchboad sorted, the post and DHL as well ... ordering taxi's ... yebo (when thy can actually decide when they want to leave) ... need some work on the lunch ordering ... but got the email system down.

So when ever you do reception ... here are some tips ... there are two types of DHL ... red which is international and blue is domestic. Food ... order a long time before ... find out who still works at the company ... oh boy ... I have a nice list of people who do work there and their extentions ... thanks to the foresight of the receptionist ... she is a star ... anyway enough for now ... just an update on whats what.
