It's a small world ... take2

Yes the song comes to mind again ... but more about that later. Last weekend we went to Notting Hill to have a look at the market there that Pamela said had some great fruit and veg. That is where I bought these lovely cherries. So I thought I'd put them on just to make everyone at home jealous. They where yummy ... hehehe ... anyway enough of that now.

I managed to find yet another school friend here in London (Chrisna nou is dit nog net jy wat moet kom :o) We went for drinks today at the Queen Mary pub. Very nice ... if the alkohol starts messing with the balance you can blame it on the swaying of the boat ... fun fun fun ... anyway on the photo from left to right is Carin, Liesl and me. Liefie showed up later and played paparazzi for us. We had lot of fun catching up considering we haven't seen Carin in 5 years. Hopefully the start of many more.

On our way home we stopped to admire some of the sites considering that it was a nice day and all. Stopped at the needle that has been brought there all the way from Egypt ... no comment on that one ... and posed with a Sphinx. There is a nice view of London eye.

We stopped at Tower Hill so I could take some panos and had some nice ice cream sitting in the shade in Trinity Park.
I also finally got my pano of the Tower of London before we went home.
Now I'm listening to Hendrik playing car games on the tv ... ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies.

Before I go here are some stunning sunset photos that Hendrik took the other day.

Thats all for now

Founders Arms - My 1st pub lunch

So since I have been gone for so long ... here is what we have been up to. Sunday two weeks ago Hendrik tells me to put on comfy shoes we are going out, so I obey. We left the flat at 19:30, the sun goes down fairly late here now so it was still sunny and very very hot. On the way I had to say hi to my bunnies (not really mine but I see them every time I go to the station and they are soooo cute).

We got off the train at London Bridge and walked in some general direction me having no clue where we were going. We saw this nice church on the way ... sorry have no idea what it is called. We also found the remains of Winchester Palace ... it was kinda arb ... finding half a building between the other modern buildings but got some nice pics though ... including my arty photo

We finally reached the Founders Arms ... one of the pubs that Hendrik and the guys from work goes to for lunch on sunny friday's. The food there is fabulous and we had very nice burgers and chips and of course a pint ... you cant go to the pub and not have a pint ... hehehe ... so we had a nice supper and watched the sun set ... very nice ... then "discovered" that Southwark station was actually closer so we walked there and crossed the Blackfriars Bridge where I took a pano because I can and the sunset was nice.

That's all for now more updates later

Our Flat

Yes we are officially moved in for about a month now and we are extremely happy in the new place. The view is absolutely stunning. Wel as promised here are some pics of the new place.

Well this is our room ... wel the clean part of it just so mommy can see our bed. When you walk out of the room and turn left you get the passage to the rest of the flat.

The first door is a storage closet, the second is the kitchen that I am happy to say is always nice and clean and it is not always me that has to clean it ... bliss.

The third door is our bathroom that we will have to share with the fourth person that moves is (Pamela has a ensuite bathroom).

Pamela is a Skottish girl that moves into the flat a week after us. We get along well so that is a big bonus. The third room isn't rented yet.

If you turn right out of our room you get the lounge/dining room (just click on the small pictures and it will open a bigger version ... for those that didn't know I have been experimenting with creating panoramic views)The best part is the view the pics are taken during the day and when we had the full moon.
Pretty isn't it ... well I'm back so hopefully more blogging soon.
